Oregon Wildfire Relief
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who contributed to support wildfire relief in Oregon. Together we raised $40,000 to support four nonprofits that are helping communities impacted by wildfires throughout the state.
With nearly 2 million acres burned across Oregon in 2024, more than any other year on record, particularly impacting Oregon farmland, these contributions are meaningful.

Devastating Wildfires
Oregon’s 2024 wildfire season came early and aggressively. This year, more acres have burned than any other year on record. OBRC worked with the boots-on-the-ground wildland firefighting camps across the state to facilitate container redemptions to support their efforts. On one hand, we were in awe of the tireless efforts of these brave first responders who risked their lives to protect the lives and property of their fellow Oregonians. On the other, we were deeply saddened by the devastation to our beautiful state caused by the all too common wildfires this year and previously.
OBRC invited our BottleDrop community to join us in supporting recovery and relief efforts.

Amount Raised
OBRC’s Emergency Fund matched all donations made via BottleDrop through September 30, 2024. BottleDrop customers donated $17,422, and OBRC matched all donations, plus contributed additional funds to round out the total amount to $40,000.
The funds were split between four organizations directing resources to those impacted by wildfire as identified by the Oregon Department of Emergency Management. The four organizations were:
- Oregon Cattlemen’s Association’s Wildfire Fund
- Oregon Farm Bureau’s Wildfire Relief Fund
- Oregon State University Foundation’s Post-Fire Recovery Fund
- Oregon Chapter of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation
How Our Customers Helped
There were two ways to donate:
- Online from your BottleDrop account and directly to the OBRC Emergency Fund.
- Take containers directly to any Full-Service BottleDrop Redemption Center and let staff know that you would like to direct the donation to the OBRC Emergency Fund.
BottleDrop customers are incredibly generous, and we were proud to work together to leverage the power of bottles and cans, supporting organizations making a big difference for communities and residents across the state, especially for those impacted by the wildfires.
