BottleDrop has provided Community Warehouse with a simple and accessible way for our community to support our work. Volunteers often grab a Blue Bag when they come for their shift and bring it back filled on their next visit. These funds help us cover the costs of receiving, processing and distributed donated furniture and household goods to neighbors moving out of homelessness or other crises.

We have been pleasantly surprised by how this program creates opportunities for Scouts to connect with the community. When Scouts distribute Blue Bags, collect donations, or thank supporters, they build relationships and see firsthand how small actions – like recycling bottles – can add up to make a real difference. It has shown us that environmental stewardship and community support can go hand in hand in a very practical way.

Something that surprised me about fundraising with BottleDrop is the ease in which our volunteers can bring in bags to a Redemption Center. The automatic doors allow volunteers to drop-off during their own schedule, and there was even a new location that opened within 10 minutes of us.

When we initially started our BottleDrop program, we thought we might get a bag or two a month. I don’t think we saw it as much of an income stream. It has been wonderful to see the support we receive grow each year. It is such an easy program to be a part of.
