How to Participate
- Register your nonprofit to participate in Holiday Give by November 14, 2025.
- Each nonprofit only needs to register once to be eligible for the match and social contest.
- Once you complete the registration form, hit the “Submit” button. You should be redirected to a page confirming your registration and receive a copy of your registration at the email address entered on the form. If you don’t see an email in your Inbox, check your Spam folder.
- Your nonprofit will also be added to our Participating Nonprofits page within 5 business days after registering.

- Raise funds for your BottleDrop Give account by dropping your Blue Bags at any bag drop location and encouraging online donations from BottleDrop Green Bag accounts to receive up to a 20% match from BottleDrop Give on funds raised from November 15 – December 2. We’ll be distributing up to $60,000 in matching funds!
- Post great social media content for a chance to win a prize in our social media contest. On weekdays during the matching period, except for Thanksgiving Day, we’ll be giving away $5,000 in prizes to 50 lucky nonprofits!
- After the event ends, we’ll tally the results and deposit your total match amount directly to your BottleDrop Give account. Funds will be deposited by December 30.

Timeline
- October 3 – November 14: Register your nonprofit for Holiday Give
- November 15 – December 2: Raise funds through BottleDrop for your nonprofit to be eligible for 20% match & post on social media for a chance to win a prize
- By December 30: Receive up to a 20% match deposited directly to your BottleDrop Give account

Details on the 20% Match
- Fundraisers must be an active Give nonprofit and register by November 14, 2025 to participate.
- Only funds raised through BottleDrop November 15 – December 2, 2025 are eligible for matching, not funds previously raised and held in BottleDrop Give accounts prior to November 15, 2025.
- Fundraisers must adhere to all Give Terms & Conditions or matching for that Fundraiser will be void. Please be sure to familiarize yourself and your supporters with these.
- Fundraisers must follow daily bag limits. If daily bag limits are not followed, all matching for that Fundraiser may be voided.
- Fundraisers may schedule up to 3 appointments (1 per week) during the match period.
- Funds raised during match period, up to an individual cap of $3,000 per Fundraiser, will receive a 20% match, for a maximum of $600 in matching funds from BottleDrop per Fundraiser.
- BottleDrop will contribute up to $60,000 in matching funds during the matching period. Bags and donations will be matched on a first-come, first-served basis until December 2 or when overall cap is met, whichever occurs first.
- Matching funds will be distributed to eligible BottleDrop Give accounts after the match period ends, no later than December 30.
Holiday Give Frequently Asked Questions
Holiday Give registration is only available for active BottleDrop Give fundraisers. Each fundraiser needs to register by November 14, 2025 to be eligible for this special promotion. Please note: each organization only needs to complete the registration form once to be eligible for both the match and the social media contest.
After completing the registration form, you should receive an email with a copy of your registration at the email address entered in the form. If you don’t see this email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. Please note: each organization only needs to register once to be eligible for both the match and the social media contest.
Only currently active fundraisers are eligible to register for Holiday Give. Please wait until your account is activated to register.
BottleDrop Give will match 20% of funds raised through Blue Bags and online donations from Green Bag accounts between November 15 – December 2, 2025.
Yes, fundraisers are still limited to returning 15 Blue Bags per day.
Yes, fundraisers can make an appointment at full-service BottleDrop Redemption Centers to drop up to 50 Blue Bags. During this special promotion, fundraisers can schedule up to 3 appointments (1 per week). Appointments are limited and will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fundraisers can request an appointment by emailing fundraisers@bottledrop.com. In your email, please state the full-service Redemption Center location, date, and time you would like to visit. Appointments are available Monday – Saturday, between 9am – 2pm.
The social media contest will run from November 15 – December 2, 2025. Winners will be selected on weekdays throughout the event, from Monday, November 17 through Tuesday, December 2, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27).
Fundraisers can enter the contest as many times as they would like, but each nonprofit can only win once. We encourage you to be creative with your posts and have fun!
We will comment on each winning entry to alert you that the post was selected as a winner. Prize funds will be deposited directly to your BottleDrop Give account the same day.
Yes! We are committed to our 7-day processing timeframe and will match bags processed within 7 days of the match period as matching funds allow.
Matching funds will be deposited to your BottleDrop Give account by December 30. We will send an email to the address used to register for Holiday Give when funds have been added to your account.
Yes, each nonprofit can receive a 20% match on up to $3,000 in funds raised (for a maximum of $600 in matching funds per nonprofit).
We calculated how many bags could be dropped during the 18-day match period and then compared it the value of an average Blue Bag. Our reasoning is listed below:
- Estimated Amount Raised from Blue Bags:
- The maximum number of bags allowed to be dropped during the match period is 375 bags with 3 pre-scheduled appointments.
- 15 bags allowed per day x 15 days = 225 bags
- 50 bags allowed per appointment day x 3 days = 150 bags
- 225 bags + 150 bags = 375 total bags
- The average value of a Blue Bag dropped during our 2024 Holiday Give campaign was $7.00.
- 375 Blue Bags x $7.00 = $2,625.00
- Estimated Amount Raised from Online Donations:
- The average online donation made during Holiday Give 2024 was $102.15
- Fundraisers are not limited to the number of online donations they may receive from Green Bag accounts during the match period, but they are included in the individual Fundraiser cap.
- Formula Totals:
- $2,625.00 in Blue Bags + $102.15 in online donations = $2,727.15 total raised
- We rounded this up to a $3,000 cap per Fundraiser, in case your bag values and online donations are above average.
- $3,000 raised x 20% = potential $600 in matching funds from BottleDrop Give
- The maximum number of bags allowed to be dropped during the match period is 375 bags with 3 pre-scheduled appointments.

Social Media Contest Details
This year’s social media contest theme is “Recycle for a Reason this Holiday Season.”
We’ll be giving away a total of 50 prizes of $100 throughout weekdays during the match period, except for on Thanksgiving Day. To participate in our social media contest, Fundraisers must register for Holiday Give, publicly post content on social media, and post(s) must clearly identify the nonprofit organization.
Content must be posted between November 15 – December 2, 2025 and should include the following:
Content must be posted with the hashtags #HolidayGive2025 and #BottleDropGive and tag @oregonbottledrop (Instagram & Facebook). Posts can be made by the nonprofit page or by individual supporters as long as it follows all the requirements above.
On weekdays from November 17 – December 2, except for Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27), we’ll select a total of 50 lucky winners to each receive a $100 prize.
Participants agree to allow their content, such as photos, videos, or text, to be used and shared by BottleDrop for promotional purposes.
