Adelante Mujeres

Adelante Mujeres (Women Rise Up) has a rich history of successfully engaging the Latine and immigrant community by providing educational resources and acting as a forum for community advocacy. We served over 15,000 individuals in 2022 with comprehensive, life-changing services. Approximately 98% of participants are low or extremely low income, the majority identify as female, and an estimated 91% are first-generation immigrants. Programs are targeted to Latine families, yet we have families from all backgrounds, a majority being from communities of color. We serve families through four specific departments that house a total of 11+ programs.

AdoptOneBlock

AdoptOneBlock's mission is to make it easy for you to be a great environmental steward when and how you want in your neighborhood. Our signature program, Block Ambassadors, was launched in Oct 2020 and uses a unique technology platform that allows individuals to adopt their block as a volunteer Block Ambassador. Our team delivers free cleanup supplies straight to their doorstep when they sign up and whenever they need more. We also provide opportunities to connect and build a sense of community and teamwork. As of March 2025, we have surpassed 10,000 Block Ambassadors! The Block Brigade program brings volunteers together to clean public areas needing a greater level of care. Groups are organized and led by Super Block Ambassadors. We Believe in Portland is our largest group cleanup initiative. Through two large-scale cleanup events each year teams from local businesses come together to demonstrate their commitment to a cleaner, more vibrant city. In April 2025, we had nearly 1,800 volunteers and 170 companies join us to clean over 300 blocks in downtown and northwest Portland. Learn more on our website: www.adoptoneblock.org Questions?
