The Oregon Energy Fund is a 34-year-old nonprofit that provides energy bill assistance to low-income Oregonians in support of household stability. OEF is the only statewide program of its kind in the nation. Since 1989, OEF has helped over 300,000 people pay their bills in times of crisis, ensuring that families in need don’t have to sacrifice food, rent, or medicine to pay for electricity. Through the direct service of energy assistance, we supply a basic need that prevents the triple traumas of illness, homelessness, and hunger, and gives children and adults alike the support they need to lead healthy and productive lives.
Together, we can end hunger!
Our mission is to eliminate hunger and its root causes…because no one should be hungry. At Oregon Food Bank, we hold people experiencing hunger and its root causes at the center of all we do. At its heart, Oregon Food Bank’s story is one of building community. We build community connections to help people access nutritious food today, and we build community power to eliminate the root causes of hunger for good. We believe in a future without hunger, where all communities prosper.
Donations to Oregon Food Bank support food acquisition and distribution that enables the Oregon Food Bank network to provide approximately 80 million free, nutritious and culturally appropriate meals through regional food banks and partners. Every $1 donated creates 3 meals!
Oregon Food Bank is a Network of 21 Regional Food Banks and 1,400+ Partner Food Assistance Sites that touch rural, urban and suburban communities in every corner of our state. With a focus on building the power of food as a shared human experience that connects us all, we have a unique role in mobilizing action to support the long-term health and resilience of our communities. Thank you for your support!
