UVYFC is a locally funded youth outreach network. We serve teen parents through "Parent Life", an arm of UVYFC that focuses on giving supplies, food, mentoring, and classes to teen moms in the community. "City Life" focuses on high-risk youth in our community. From bicycle apprenticeships to skate park outreaches, hundreds of kids are impacted each month. There are many other programs that we offer.
The Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene was founded in 1909. Our mission statement, "Empowered by Love, we Transform ourselves, and Serve our world." guides us in living out our Unitarian Universalist values here in Eugene and Lane County. We are a community freely bound to one another by principles that honor the inherent worth and dignity of persons; the responsible search for truth and meaning; a commitment to living out our faith in the service of compassion and justice; and an understanding that we are intricately connected with the web of all life.
