The Cambodian American Community of Oregon (សហគមន៍ខ្មែរអាមេរិចនៃរដ្ឋអូរីហ្គិន) was founded in 1989 to support Cambodian-American survivors and refugees of the Khmer Rouge. A 501(c)(3) registered non-profit in Oregon, CACO now supports the preservation of the Khmer language, Cambodian arts and culture, and history through community empowerment and volunteer-based organizing. CACO organizes and unites Cambodian-Americans and friends of the community in Oregon and S.W. Washington.
We are a member of the Oregon State Federation of Garden Clubs and of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. The obectives of the club are to provide gardening education for the community, promote and encourage the love of gardening, aid in the protection of natural resources, and promote civic beautification.
A non profit organization supporting youth fishing education and opportunities while working with Oregon Department of fish and wildlife through the STEP (steelhead trout enhancement program).
Let me take this opportunity to introduce you to Oregon Firecats Youth Softball. The organization has a proud tradition of developing girls’ softball skills, as well as a history of fielding competitive girls that enjoy success locally and regionally. Even more importantly, the organization has had a positive impact on the lives of young girls in the area and their families. This will be our first year as a newly expanded organization and we are offering an opportunity to local businesses like yours to become Team Sponsors. Your contributions will be targeted exclusively to lower the growing costs of the organization’s 40+ players, enabling them to fully participate in training programs, Local Softball Tournaments, Regional Tournaments as well as State Tournaments.
Our goal is to help these young girls develop the skills enabling them to take their skills to higher levels and get college scholarships through the knowledge they develop. The Oregon Firecats Youth Softball organization is guided by coaches and dedicated parent volunteers. The average cost per player per year to participate is more than $1200, particularly difficult for families with more than one player and/or modest means. In order to continue to make this rewarding experience a reality for our girls, we are reaching out directly to area businesses, family, and friends, and offering the opportunity to help by becoming a PROUD SUPPORTER in our every can counts fundraiser!
