Shelter Friends

Shelter Friends is a 501c3 organization that supports the adoptable animals at the Josephine County Animal Shelter. We take care of all animals in foster care by providing veterinary care, all supplies needed to care for the animals. We provide vet care above and beyond what the shelter provides. Examples are amputations, eye removals, etc. We also have a HeartWorm Hero Program. This program provides vet care and treatment for all adoptable dogs that test positive for heartworm. We hold adoption events at local venues such as Petco, Grange CooP, Rogue Valley Pet and Petsmart. We also volunteer to transport animals to other facilities in the state of Oregon. We've also had volunteers deliver animals to their new homes as far away as Colorado! We do what it takes to ensure all adoptable animals get their forever homes.
