Scio Wyldlife

Scio WyldLife is a Club that local volunteers started back in 2018, specifically for middle schoolers, Eight years ago!!! Since then we have taken 7 groups of teens to camp, ran bi weekly club meetings during the school year, went on three winter adventure trips to Hoodoo Ski Area to teach kids how to snowboard, connected over the summer break with back yard bonfires and summer floats down Thomas Creek and, most important of all, provided an opportunity to build lifelong relationships. Summer Camp is the big event of the year and a place for kids to be kids. Washington Family Ranch is located out of Antelope, Oregon and is unlike any other summer camp I ever went to as a kid. My family couldn't afford to send me to summer camp so there's that. WFR has waterslides, a high ropes course, gaga ball court and so much more beautifully design with the kids always in mind. But beyond the facilities, it's a place where time stands still, no clocks or cell phones for the kids. Kids and adults get to disconnect so that they can connect. Connect with their friends, their leaders, new friends, nature.... It is toted to be the, "Best week of your life" and it is for some but for me it's become lots of great memories and a safe place for kids to really open up and share their life stories. What an honor it has been to meet kids right where they are at day in and day out. Scio WyldLife is for the kids and about the kids.
