Cat Adoption Team

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest nonprofit cat shelter. We're dedicated to finding a home for every cat we take in. With over 25 years of experience, we know cats! While in our care, cats and kittens have access to foster care, onsite veterinary care, behavior support, and a variety of housing options to meet their needs. In addition to helping shelter cats find loving new homes, we offer programs like a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and CAT Helpline to provide support to cats and people in our community. CAT works closely with animal welfare organizations, animal control agencies, veterinary offices, and other shelters as a founding partner of the Animal Shelter Alliance of Portland. We believe that collaboration helps us save more lives than any of us can alone. Our full-service veterinary hospital, nationally recognized foster program, and lifesaving adoption and community support programs help thousands of cats and people every year.
