Marion County Dog Services operates Marion County's dog shelter located in Salem with the mission of serving and protecting dogs and communities throughout Marion County. The staff members are tasked with enforcing Marion County dog licensing and control ordinances; promoting humane treatment of dogs; providing shelter and care for stray dogs until they are reunited with their families or adopted; educating residents on quality dog care; and providing excellent customer service.
Meow Village is an all volunteer, non-profit rescue organization based in Aurora, Oregon. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for feral and community cats. In that same spirit, we also work to find homes for the many kittens who have been abandoned or born into feral colonies. Please consider donating to be part of the rescue effort!

We promote spay/neuter of companion pets and of feral and stray community cats. We tame wild kittens when doing trap-neuter-return and tame them so they can be adopted out.
