Pioneer Humane Society/Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter is a local, private, non-profit 501(c)3 non-profit animal shelter located in Pendleton, Oregon. Founded in 1975 by a group of compassionate citizens, we are dedicated to helping homeless, lost, and at-risk animals and pet owners in our town and surrounding areas.
We do our work by operating a no-kill shelter facility for homeless animals; through education and outreach programs; encouraging and assisting with spay/neuter; helping low-income pet owners with our pet food assistance program, and much more.
PAW Team's mission is to save lives and reduce suffering by providing free veterinary care to pets of the homeless and those experiencing extreme poverty.
Animal rescue by surrender or pull from high kill shelters. Although our original passion was dachshunds, we rescue, care for and rehabilitate many breeds including the old, young, sick and special needs.
Lane County’s only non-profit solely dedicated to providing free veterinary services, food, and supplies for the pets of people who are homeless in our community.
Project POOCH, Inc. provides opportunities for youth in corrections to develop the personal and vocational skills they will need to become responsible, productive members of the community. The program accomplishes this by teaching youth to care for and train shelter dogs for adoption.
