To provide the highest quality interaction with wildlife to inspire lifelong commitments to conservation, education and preservation of native and exotic species.
SafeHaven Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is considered a non-governmental funding organization, so we rely strictly on donations and fundraising efforts. We have been providing needed services and programs for the greater Linn and Benton County community for over 40 years, and we faithfully follow our mission of finding homes for homeless pets, educating minds and opening hearts with compassion and kindness.
Our shelter dogs act as therapy animals five times each month while visiting area nursing homes and our location functions as a pick up for pet food for families in need. Through our Rescue Me program, we transport hundreds of dogs each year out of high-population, high-kill urban areas in Southern California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Hawaii in an effort to put an end to euthanasia as population control. We also have an excellent Humane Education program for kids of all ages and in 2016 SafeHaven Humane Society helped 3,853 children create a more humane world for animals.
