Feed The Hungry, Inc.

Feed The Hungry, Inc. is a community-based, non-profit (501-C3), that provides a hearty sit-down meal every Sunday afternoon for all who are hungry - as many as 165 people, and has for the past 25 years. Our volunteers find that in serving, they too are served: Large measures of personal satisfaction and of gratitude from those who may have little else to share. Groups that cook or serve regularly include Clackamas Rotary, Clackamas Fire District #1, scout troops, teams from area schools, youth groups, civic and service organizations as well as work groups from various area businesses. Since 1991 the community of Milwaukie has gathered at St. John’s Episcopal Church in downtown Milwaukie every Sunday afternoon to serve a hearty meal and provide a short respite to life on the street or lives unconnected. Over 150,000 meals have been served by hundreds of individuals – and those who are homeless, hungry or simply looking for companionship are received with understanding and respect.
