Friends of the Children - Klamath Basin is a chapter of a national non-profit that is breaking the cycle of generational poverty by giving children facing the highest risks the ability to create a new story. We do this by providing the most vulnerable children with a long-term, salaried, professional mentor, who we call a "Friend," from kindergarten through high school graduation, 12-1/2 years - no matter what!
Furniture Share is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that has been in operation since 1998. Our mission is to redistribute quality used furniture at no cost to children, families, and individuals in need, thus diverting items from the landfill. Our services provide improved family interactions, increased comfort and safety in homes, while improving overall wellness, independence, physical and mental health. In addition to providing this valuable service to our community, Furniture Share also achieves our two fold mission by reducing the amount of furniture in our landfill protecting the environment.
