Tanker 61 Wildfire Learning Center is a memorial to aerial firefighters who lost their lives fighting fire and a Learning Center educating the public about wildland firefighting.
TLC is the parent board that functions as a mediator between the VA Hospital in Portland and the on-site day care provider. It is open to any and all parents of children enrolled in the day care center at VAPORHCS.
Our main function is to make sure things run smoothly and ensure contracts are honored between both parties. We also function to communicate issues, questions, and requests between parents and the day care center. Finally, we raise funds throughout the year to provide the children with toys, books, and materials requested by the teachers to enrich the learning environment.
The Templeton Elementary Parent Support Organization is the parent volunteer organization for the school, which is located in Tigard, OR. We organize events and create educational opportunities supporting our teachers and students. The PSO strives to raise funds to fill financial gaps beyond the scope of the school district's funding providing fees and buses for field trips, art literacy, events, class equipment, and much more. We also have drives for clothing, toiletries and food for our needy families within our school and community.
