Friends of the Multnomah County Library advocates for and supports our outstanding public library. We provide supplemental funding for library programs and services, and sponsor activities which engage people who value our library.
The Gilbert House Children’s Museum is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) children’s museum connected to downtown Salem’s Riverfront Park. Founded in 1989, Gilbert House Children’s Museum provides innovative and stimulating educational experiences which spark children’s natural curiosity. The Museum is named after Salem native, A.C. Gilbert, an extraordinary scholar, inventor, Olympic athlete and gold medalist, entrepreneur, and magician. An advocate of learning through play, Gilbert was the proud inventor of the Erector Set, the inspiration for our giant outdoor Erector Set, the highlight of our 20,000 ft² Outdoor Discovery Area.
The Hundred Acre Foundation is a Homeschool community resource for families, providing a space for community and schooling resources such as; educational support, private tutoring, specialized subject classes, extracurricular activities, as well as providing parental homeschool support.
100% of our donations go back to support local organizations for children within Grants Pass. Some of the organizations are Grants Pass Library, Boys and Girl's Club, College Dreams Scholarships, Hearts with a Mission, Joe's Place (for teens), YMCA, Campus Closet, local community playgrounds and Quilts for Kids.
