The Crater Lake Council supports over two thousand Scouts and leaders in Central and Southern Oregon and Northern California.
The Scouting program has specific objectives, commonly referred to as the “Aims of Scouting.” They are character development, leadership development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Leadership development is also one of Scoutings eight methods contributing to both good character and good citizenship.
Sea Scouts is a co-ed program under Boy Scouts of America. We are a youth led program for all teens ages 13-20, learning water safety, boating and maritime skills. Our scouts practice team work, leadership, and communication working with each other and the community. We promote self-esteem and personal growth while building life-long friendships. The funds raised through the Bottle Drop support registration fees, uniforms, regattas/competitions, fuel, maintenance, and moorage fees for boats used to support our program.
