Girl Scouts Troop 40731 is a group of 6th- and 7th-graders in Southeast Portland whose goals include community service, leadership and education — and having fun along the way.
Girl Scout Troop 45004 has nine girls. Our goal is for the troop to cover all regular Girl Scout expenses so that all of our girls can participate in everything. We camp several times a year, hike regularly and help several charities in the area. Most of our girls are now in high school and are ready for travel. We provide many fundraising opportunities for the girls raise funds for travel costs. Our troop sells over 3,000 boxes of cookies each year, does monthly bottle redemptions, sells wreaths and recycles trees. In 2019, we camped at Crater Lake, Lassen and Redwoods. In 2021, we hope to be able to go on a 2 week camping trip in Washington State and are planning a 2022 trip to Ireland.
