Due to construction, the Glisan Redemption Center parking lot may be inaccessible at times on Monday, Sept. 21 and Tuesday, Sept. 22. The center will be closed from 8am – 12pm on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Magic Wheelchair is a 501c3 organization that promotes inclusion and self-expression by building epic adaptive wheelchair costumes — at no cost to families.
Our STEM program trains and empowers volunteer builders, makers, and students to create wheelchair costumes that bring recipients' imaginations to life, promote inclusion, and rewrite the narrative of what it means to be disabled. Magic Wheelchair has served over 320 families to-date and has a waitlist of over 450 children and adults. We’ve officially set roots in Gresham by opening our first Magic Makerspace, a hub to create for the local community.
Our Charity's Mission is to help motivate, elevate, and celebrate disabilities by helping educate the public, get adaptive equipment for children with disabilities, and creating Free Sensory Spaces across the United States. Because every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and play no matter their abilities.
We have a youth group that participates in a week of community service in Skagway Alaska each year putting on a kids camp and youth activities. We would like to use bottle drop to help fund the travel for our students and supplies for the activities.
