Empowerment at Work

The purpose of the corporation is to enhance daily living skills and employment alternatives for youth and adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Using the community as our "classroom" whenever appropriate, we strive to encourage independence, assisting only as needed. Most of our clients are considered to be on the "Autism Spectrum" and need a highly programmed and structured day, so they are provided specifically-designed lessons every day, based on goals determined by their Individual Support Plan and/or Brokerage/County or Individual Education Plan goals. When clients are at Empowerment at Work, each of them are treated with dignity and respect and given ample opportunity to make choices through his/her day.
