We are a small rural senior center up near Mt. Hood, Oregon. Our service area is 46 square miles, although, we mainly serve three small towns: Brightwood, Rhododendron, and Welches. All three are non-incorporated and do not contribute financial support to our center. We mainly operate on donations and some assistance from a federal grant. The services we provide are: Meals On Wheels (5,500 meals in 2020), free medical rides (approximately 400 in 2020), free loaning of medical equipment (no age limit), energy assistance (18 yrs. or older) - 70 applications in 2020), free medicare counseling, computer assistance for seniors e.g. social security benefits, driver's license and car registration renewals, etc. Limited Better Bones & Tai Chi Classes for balance, free food boxes & pet food. We have a Board Directors consisting of 7 members, 5 MOW drivers, and 1 bus driver. There are 2 part-time office staff that work M-Th 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
