McKenzie Community Development Corporation

The mission of the McKenzie CDC is to foster and support economic, environmental and community well-being for the McKenzie River area (communities include Cedar Flat, Walterville, Leaburg, Vida, Nimrod, Blue River, Rainbow, McKenzie Bridge and Belknap Springs). Recently, we began an initiative to reduce the litter that pollutes our highway, river and public spaces. Through collecting and redeeming bottles and cans, we are providing an opportunity for local groups and nonprofits to benefit from funds derived while serving as stewards of our natural environment. The Blue River Bottle Boys are currently conducting a fundraising campaign to raise funds to rebuild the Blue River Library. The library was considered a gem in the McKenzie River Community and was destroyed, along with most of Blue River in the Labor Day Holiday Farm Fire, Thank you for helping us rebuild our library a dime at a time!
