NONPROFIT CONSERVATION ORGANIZATION WORKING TO IMPROVE WATER QUALITY & WATERSHED CONDITION IN THE LONG TOM RIVER BASIN THROUGH EDUCATION & COLLABORATION AMONG ALL INTERESTS, USING THE COLLECTIVE WISDOM & VOLUNTARY ACTION OF OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS.
The Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership works in communities along the lower Columbia River, from Bonneville Dam to the Pacific Ocean. We restore habitat to benefit salmon, lamprey, and other wildlife; we monitor habitat and conduct research to advance restoration and climate resilience; we lead stormwater retrofit projects in partnership with schools and small communities to improve water quality; we lead hands-on environmental science programs with thousands of school kids each year; we engage volunteers with hands-on stewardship of local streams through tree plantings and other activities; and we get folks out on the water, most for the first time, in our two 12-passenger Big Canoes. Our mission is βto restore and care for the waters and ecosystems of the lower Columbia River, for current and future generations of fish, wildlife, and people.β
