The Elakha Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Oregon, founded by tribal leaders, conservationists, and nonprofit advocates united by a powerful vision. We imagine an Oregon coast where future generations thrive alongside a restored sea otter population and a resilient marine ecosystem.
Our mission is to make Oregon’s marine and coastal ecosystems and communities more robust and resilient by restoring a healthy population of sea otters to the Oregon coast. Visit OregonSeaOtters.org to learn more.
Firefighters United for Safety, Ethics and Ecology (FUSEE) does public education and policy advocacy promoting safe, ethical, ecological wildland fire management.
FUSEE educates and advocates for the use of safe and sound ecological fire management practices that protect rural communities, promote ecosystem resilience, preserve biological and landscape diversity, revitalize cultural burning traditions, and mitigate the impacts of climate change. We envision empowered local communities with an ecological fire management workforce using fire to maintain healthy forest, shrubland, and grassland ecosystems and coexist with fire-adapted landscapes. We envision collaborative partnerships, inclusive community engagement, and science-based decision-making to achieve long-term sustainability and resilience in fire-prone natural and built environments.
